Other sign software is often aimed at the owners of built environments, keeping a record of every installed sign across many sites. That is a different job, and many sign programs use both.

Where other sign software is strong
- The whole life of a sign. Platforms built for building operators can keep tracking signs after they are installed — information updates, costs and compliance — which Planqix does not try to do.
- Big, multi-site programs. Owners running many buildings may want one system across every site and vendor.

- Made for the shop on the job. The two-pass flow matches how jobs are actually priced: sign types on the plan and sign counts first, messages and artwork second.
