Privacy Policy
Effective August 3, 2026 · Last updated August 3, 2026
The short version
- We do not sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone, at any price.
- We do not share your data with outside companies for their own purposes. The only third parties who ever touch it are the vendors we need to actually run Planqix — hosting, floorplan processing, payments and email — and they may only use it to provide that service to us.
- Your work is only used to run the service for you, never for any purpose of our own that you haven’t switched on yourself.
- Your projects are private to you and to the people you deliberately share them with.
- You can have it all deleted. Email us and we will remove your account and its contents.
The rest of this page is the same promise, in more detail.
1. Who this covers
This policy explains how Planqix (“Planqix”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the Planqix website, the Planqix editor, the client viewer, and our API. If you disagree with anything here, please don’t use the service — and tell us why at Support@planqix.com, because we’d like to know.
2. What we collect
Account information
Your username, email address, full name if you give one, and your password stored only as a salted cryptographic hash — we never store or see your actual password. If your account belongs to a company or team, we also store which organization you belong to and your role in it.
The work you put into the app
Floorplan images and PDFs you upload, the projects and floorplans built from them, sign schedules, sign types, messages, notes, review comments, uploaded sign artwork, and your editor preferences. This is your content. You own it; we just store and process it so the product works.
Billing information
Payments are handled entirely by Stripe. Card numbers never reach our servers — we store only the identifiers Stripe gives us (a customer ID, a subscription ID, your plan and its status) so we know what you’re entitled to.
Operational records
Records needed to run and meter the service: when a processing job ran and whether it succeeded, how many uploads you’ve made in a billing period, how much storage you’re using, last sign-in and last-seen timestamps, and standard web server logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, browser user agent). Server logs exist for security, abuse prevention and debugging, and are kept only as long as they’re useful for that.
Things you send us
Messages submitted through the contact and feedback forms, along with the name and email you attach to them, so that we can reply.
3. What we do with it
We use the above to:
- run the service — store your projects, process floorplans, generate schedules and exports;
- authenticate you and keep your account secure;
- bill you correctly and enforce plan limits;
- answer your support and feedback messages;
- send transactional email you asked for: email confirmation, password resets, invitations, and important service notices;
- diagnose faults and protect the service from abuse.
That is the entire list. We do not profile you and we do not run behavioral advertising.
4. What we never do
- We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information or your project content.
- We never hand your floorplans or client information to third parties for their own marketing, advertising, or analytics.
- We never repurpose your uploaded work for anything beyond running the service for you, unless you have explicitly opted in (see section 6).
- We never load advertising or cross-site tracking scripts into the product.
5. Service providers
Running a web application means relying on infrastructure vendors. They process data on our instructions only, and they are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. As of the date above these are:
- Cloud hosting (Amazon Web Services) — runs our servers and stores your projects and uploaded files.
- Stripe — processes payments and holds your card details under its own privacy policy.
- Our email provider — delivers transactional messages such as confirmations, password resets and invites.
- Google Fonts — serves the typefaces on our public marketing pages, which means Google sees the IP address of visitors to those pages. The editor itself does not depend on it for your project data.
Beyond these, we will only disclose data if the law genuinely requires it — a valid legal order — or where it is strictly necessary to protect someone’s safety or defend our rights. If we’re ever compelled to hand over your data and we are legally allowed to tell you, we will.
If Planqix is ever acquired or merged, your data may transfer to the new owner, who would be bound by this policy until you are given notice and a genuine chance to opt out or delete your account.
6. Sharing corrections is optional
When you correct something Planqix got wrong — a misplaced wall, a wrong door — that correction is useful for improving how the product detects those things. We will not take it from you silently.
Sharing those corrections is off by default. Where the feature is offered at all, it appears as a switch in Settings → Profile that only you can turn on, and you can turn it back off at any time, at which point we stop collecting new corrections from your account. With it off — which is how every account starts, and how it stays unless you go and change it — nothing from your projects is kept for this.
7. Sharing that you control
Some parts of Planqix exist to let you show work to other people. When you use them, you are the one deciding what gets shared:
- Client view links and viewer invitations give the people you invite read or review access to that project.
- Team and enterprise accounts let colleagues in your organization see the organization’s projects.
- Exports (ZIP, PDF, DXF, XLSX, braille SVG) put copies of your data wherever you send them, outside our control.
You can revoke share links and invitations from within the app.
8. Cookies
We use cookies for one thing: keeping you signed in. That means a session cookie and, if you choose it, a “remember me” cookie — both HTTP-only and restricted to our own site. Some preferences (theme, editor settings) are kept in your browser’s local storage and never leave your device. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics trackers, or cross-site pixels.
9. How we protect it
Traffic is encrypted over HTTPS. Passwords are stored as salted hashes and cannot be reversed. Projects are scoped to their owner and organization, and every request is checked against that ownership. Access to production systems is limited to people who need it.
No system is perfectly secure, and we won’t pretend otherwise. If a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you promptly and tell you what actually happened.
10. Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your account information and content for as long as your account is active, so the work is there when you come back. You can delete individual projects and floorplans yourself from inside the app, and you can export your work at any time.
To delete your whole account, email Support@planqix.com from your account address. We will remove your account and its stored projects. Some records may persist briefly in encrypted backups, and we keep the minimum billing records that tax and accounting law requires us to keep.
11. Your rights
Wherever you live, we will honor these requests: to see what we hold about you, to correct it, to get a copy of it, to delete it, and to object to a particular use of it. Depending on where you live you may have these rights by law — for example under the GDPR or the CCPA — and we apply them to everyone regardless.
On the CCPA question specifically: we have never sold personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Email Support@planqix.com and we’ll respond within 30 days. We may need to verify who you are before acting on a request.
12. Where your data is processed
Planqix is operated from the United States, and your data is stored and processed there. If you use the service from outside the US, you’re asking us to process your data in the US.
13. Children
Planqix is a professional tool for the signage industry and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we’ll delete it.
14. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. If a change materially reduces your privacy — and to be clear, we have no intention of ever starting to sell or share your data — we will notify account holders by email before it takes effect.
